This is Inner Voice Theatre Company's inaugural production. But for two of the cast, it's an opportunity to reprise former glory. In 2015, as Bristol schoolboys, Rob Carden and Ezra Clarke delivered the roles of Holmes and Watson, working from the same fabulous script. Back then, they were good. Maybe very good. Now, though, they are truly brilliant. As is, it goes without saying, the sublime Mr Gabe Willem. Come and see them shine (and laugh your socks off) at the Tobacco Factory in April 2026.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary Sherlock Holmes tale, brought vividly to the stage by Inner Voice Theatre Company at Bristol's much-loved Tobacco Factory.

When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead in the garden of Baskerville Hall, his family estate on Dartmoor, with a look of terror carved on his face, and the paw prints of a gigantic hound beside his body, the great detective, Sherlock Holmes, is summoned from Baker Street, with the loyal Dr Watson in tow, to unravel the mystery surrounding his death, and investigate the ancient curse of the Hound of the Baskervilles.

The wonderful script, by Olivier Award nominees Steven Canny and John Nicholson, was first performed by Peepolykus at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in 2007, before transferring to the West End. The play is packed with verbal and visual wit that delivers a sublimely engaging and hilarious adaptation of this rip-roaring classic tale.
