Inner Voice is a new, community-based theatre company, founded in Bristol in 2025 by artistic director Steven Clarke and 3 talented actors: his son Ezra Clarke, and husband & husband duo, Robert Carden and Gabriel Willem. With its young and diverse core team of actors, the company's mission is to create high quality theatre in Bristol and beyond, to generate new opportunities for young cast and crew in the west country, and to ensure that ticket pricing makes its productions as accessible as possible to a wide-ranging audience.

The company launched its first production, 'The Hound of the Baskervilles', in April 2026. They played to packed houses on the main stage at Bristol's much-loved 'Tobacco Factory Theatres', with hundreds of extra tickets sold during the short 4 day run, as word-of-mouth got round. Veteran BBC and Channel 4 comedy producer Gareth Edwards wrote: 'A brilliant, funny show, with a great cast, playful direction and hundreds of jokes'.

After their spectacular success in Bristol, the company plans a tour in autumn 2026, in the midlands, the south west & London.
